Viva Cantina, Viva Fresh, Viva Jupilar?

We ended up having a great time tonight in burbank at Viva Cantina. I (paul) must admit upon first arrival i had major doubts mainly cause it was a restaurant and people were eating their dinner and in the corner is a small stage (which totally accommodated us but looked small) my first thought was "who in their right mind would want to hear us a loud band while trying to chow down on some mediocre mexican food." to our surprise we were right. right when we got on stage the place cleared out... must have been Rueben's' beard or our huge amps that scared people away.  What was good was those who stayed were ready to rock. We played and it felt good.

tomorrow (or today as i type this) we will be working on new material. we're excited to start writing again. we have no plan or agenda but we're gonna stick to the ol' formula and see what kind of magic happens. We'll keep you posted. 

BTW... I used my Morgan 4x12 today instead of the Marshall. I'm so glad I didn't end up selling the morgan cab. I love it. We'll keep you posted on future shows (juneish)

Our first show back. Come out and party with us!

JUPILAR live MAY 2nd. FREE.

This will be our first show with the new line up (New Drummer Matty). We're looking forward to playing this show, meeting new people and playing our hearts out for you. We hope you can come out and welcome Matty to the band. We'll be playing some old stuff and some EVEN older stuff that we haven't played as a full band ever. Who knows.. seeing how this month goes we might even have a new song for your listening pleasure.

Back to work.

So we've moved into our new studio and we have a new drummer. Things are feeling great. We've been writing new material and playing some of the older stuff at the same time. We'll be back to playing live very very soon. We'll keep u posted.

New beginnings for the band...

So just a quick update as to what we're up to. First we've moved our studio into a much needed roomer space. We moved in last week and it was awesome just to hang out. Who knows... maybe someday we'll throw a get together there so you can come hang. Besides tearing down one wall we're pretty much set in the new spot. Reuben offered to run through the wall (as a joke) ... Could end up being fun weekend of demo... We're so happy to start rehearsing... which brings me to our next announcement..... The search for our new drummer is over. Seriously. We're thrilled to have Matty join the band on drums. His drumming style and attitude really seem to mesh well with us. We can tell we'll have a lot of fun as a group. I for one and really glad to be playing music with not only talented musicians but overall really great dudes. New music coming soon!
